Youth Intake/Life Coach - Tyler Dean

Tyler Dean serves as a Youth Intake Specialist and Life Coach at H.W.A.M.

Why do you feel called to serve at H.W.A.M.?
I graduated from Corban University with a degree in Psychology and Youth and Family Ministries. After graduation I was blessed with the opportunity to work at Hearts With A Mission. God has given me a heart for youth and a desire to help wherever I am needed.

What is your role at the H.W.A.M.?
I am a Youth Intake Specialist and Life Coach. I bring a patient, fun, and easy going style to work which helps new youth feel comfortable and more at ease when they're entering and living here at the shelter. I also like to plan fun and new activities for the youth to participate in. Things like bowling, camping, hiking, rock climbing, and many more awesome activities.

What are your favorite things about working at H.W.A.M.?
My favorite thing about Hearts With A Mission is that we are one big family and because we are a family we get to be there for the youth on a daily basis. Hearing about their day, what their likes and dislikes are and what their hobbies are - getting to know the youth so that we can better serve them.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my free time I like to golf, snow ski, wakeboard, go camping, play basketball, go to the movies, make video shorts and just hang out with friends and family.

What is one funny thing about yourself?
Senior year of college, I may or may not have been caught on video "breaking it down" (dancing) in a pink vest and a Halloween gorilla mask.
