Youth Intake/Life Coach/Volunteer Coor. - Tarrah Brown

Tarrah Brown serves as a Youth Intake/Life Coach and Volunteer Coordinator at H.W.A.M.

Why do you feel called to serve at H.W.A.M.?
As one of my favorite verses states (“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord, not for man. “ Col. 3:23) that it doesn’t matter as much what you are doing as much as why and who you are doing it for. H.W.A.M. is about selfless service and aspires to model that verse. Everyday we have opportunity to meet practical needs, as well as be a silent church, giving back what has graciously been given to us.
Benjamin Franklin said it best, “Well done is better than well said.” It is amazing to see the power of those actions and see all the positive changes in those we serve. It is definitely a fulfilling use of my time.

What is your role at the H.W.A.M.?
My role would best be defined as miscellaneous. I get to be a part of an assortment of duties. I truly enjoy most of the roles. I feel especially fortunate to be able to connect with members of the community, through volunteer coordination. It is such an encouragement to see first hand how generous others are with their time and resources, truly the life blood of H.W.A.M.

What are your favorite things about working at H.W.A.M.?
I love coming to work with the assurance that no matter what the day has in store, I am surrounded by good people with huge hearts.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
My interests are all over the map. I love anything active, sports, hiking, anything out doors, love music, good books, movies, traveling, horses etc..okay so I like everything!!

What is one funny thing about yourself?
I am totally into self- challenges, to the point of nerdy and embarrassing.
